Anyone thinking of using it with Poser, don't. I've reported the bug.

What is it? On which platform? Which Codec were you trying to use? Inquiring minds want to know!

Poser 4.0.3 Mac 9.2.1 after converting the animation to QuickTime, Poser freeses requiring a forced restart. Doesn't loose the QuickTime movie but if the Poser file isn't saved then what a bummer.

I've occasionally had Poser freeze up everything after I've rendered QuickTime movies and tried to close them too quickly. I'm not a hard-core techie but it seemed like maybe Poser was trying to clear out the memory so it could activate it's display (make it's other windows active instead of the built-in QuickTime player) and my click forced it to try to react quicker than it could. I've learned to save before I do a render or hesitate for about a second after I stop replaying the rendered QuickTime in Poser. I've got Mac OS 9.1 and QuickTime 5 on my Poser machine (Poser 4.0.3 with Pro Pack).

I'm glad I stuck with QT5, even though I'm using the PC version of Poser and can't render directly to QuickTime anyway. If I eventually move up to QT6, does anyone know if I will have to pay again for the upgrade, or is it covered by my existing purchase of QuickTime 5 Pro?

QT 6 needs a new serial, there is no upgrade.

... AND you pay for the upgrade. I didn't pay and have reinstalled QT5. Maybe 6.0.2?

its all that MPEG4 multimedia track crap that they put in it its not not compatible with my seat of final cut pro 3 which is very dependant on a functioning quicktime. IM sticking with QT5 :-)
