It is asking for a password :-((

Okay, me taking it down off the free stuff section. Want to avoid the last experience I had here in the forum. I'll look into it tomorrow. It's one in the morning where I am and I need to sleep. Looks I'm just not destined to do these things.;-) ciao

my apologies for the problem everyone is having. I checked and triple checked this morning when i uploaded, and everything was working fine. No one seemed to have any problems. This afternoon I received a few messages saying that my server was requiring a password, which i then verified. I honestly dont know what it is, because i am unable to get to the page in question as well, though i still have full access to the rest of the site. Technical support is looking into the problem, i believe there is a permissions issue on the ftp server, as I had some problems with it earlier. Hopefully it will all be resolved in short order. I apologize for the inconvenience and the wait, and hope everyone will be patient while i get this resolved.

Dude ... it's utterly no problem. No chance of exceeding bandwidth on my end. If you still need space, lemme know.

Generally, FTP servers allow a fixed number of anonymous connections (including those from a web browser). When all these slots are full due to heavy traffic, the server starts asking for username/password since all remaining download slots are open only to users registered on the system. You can probably reconfigure your FTP server to handle more anonymous traffic if you are the admin for your site. Of course download speed will slow down for everyone of more connections are open and actually being used. -Adam

actually all the servers were experiencing problems and were under maintenance (at least thats what I was told) The problem was solved in about 40 mins. Hopefully this doesnt become regular problem, as I have had only good experiences with my host in the past.

Hello ChuckEvans Yes, I do run the uzilite site. Thank you for the compliment. It is more than a year old though. I hope to update it soon.

I like the photographs. And the really nice line about the earth rotating and not caring. Nice touch! BTW, my wife asked where you are from.

~g~ well, I am physically surfing here on my server. unlimited bandwidth and reasonable connection speeds. ( about half a seconf=d for me to download a 5mb zip from isp's server. ) I could put a whole site up on the web..just have to get commercial account to register domain names.
