I've made this cargobox for the trash theme I'm working on, but this one is annoying me. It looks like what UVMapper calls Degenerate facets, but even if I ask UVMapper to fix it, it tells me it has fixed 300-something degenerated facets BUT they're still there!

Any ideas of what to do then? apart from making the darn box all over from scratch... sigh

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

you could try welding the vertices.. but then again you maight lose the whole shape of the box doing that.. try it.. but backup first :D Dolph.

it is not the problem. you see, poser tends to smooth every object that it encounters. in your case the box was smoothed by poser. To overcome this, you need to detach the box as planars. to show you what I mean, check this out. http://host1.bondware.com/~syydr/messages.ez?forum_id=3&Form.ShowMessage=12253 hope that helps. dees

Do a split verts in UVmapper and save it out again.

Yep. Use 'split vertices' and it'll be perfect. mac
