Couple of quickies, coz I've got to go to work! Not really spectacular photos (much more exciting in real life) _ Guess I've got to get a 300mm zoom (this taken with a 200mm) You can see her spume quite clearly in the 1st and dissapating in the second...in most of the shots she just looks like a big rock in the water! LOL! :-)>

Thats it for the moment, take care all... :-)>

Forgot to say, you can see how close she was to the shore...the waves breaking in the second one are only about 15-20 meteres from the shore-line...hmmmm, must dust my scanner!

They were close to the shore, good photos. Have you thought about a 500mm mirror lens, very light and less expensive than a 300mm lens . I have just bought one I will post some photos using it in about 5 days time.

Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!

Yes, and the aqua color of the water is beautiful too.

Ooo wow! A whale!!! jumps around I remember seeing a school of dolphins on a boat ride and by the time I whipped the camera out they were soooo far away already! :-( Nice shots, Cam :-) (*

okay for a second, i thought Cam was at the local large people nudee beach.... and when I clicked.... what a pleasant surprise!! you would love the annual migration of the gray whales here in cali..... every year in november one can see them really close up.... the best place to view them is from the lighthouse in pt.reyes. they swim so close u feel as if u can reach out and touch them! wonderful shot cam!!

Thanks all! It was really exciting, and Jane and I plan to do it again...we also plan to go and see the Whales again ;-)> Next time it will be without the children, so there is less distraction...you know, worrying about them trying to drown themselves in the surf and so forth...(little darlings) @Michelle...these whales are called "Southern Right Whales" apparently because they were "right" for the whalers of early last century to hunt and kill. :-(> @bonbon...you are a very naughty girl! LOL! @Alpha re: the whale's dimensions - apparently this was only a medium sized whale! :-)>
