Hey Everyone!!! This will actually be my first of many (I hope) posts in this great website. I have just recently began doing 3D and am really siked. I actually purchased 3D Max and Poser for my birthday. Believe me it hurt my Credit Card very much. But well worth it. I bought Poser to get my creations done faster and finish the off with the powerful 3d Max Platform but am having supreme trouble doing so. I make the character with clothes and everything and export it into 3DS format. Then open 3d max and import it but when I do, it comes out one color and then some parts just missing. Is there something I have to do in poser before I export it so that 3d max can take it or could it be some properties that I have to fix in max before importing?? Any help very much appreciated. P.S. Sorry for the novice request. Alex

Hei there cat3dgrafx. Lokks like we're the same shoes. Im new here and I'm trying to do the same thing. There's a tutorial at RuntimeDNA that should help. I haven't tried it myself but it's promising. Just follow the above link. Good Luck.

Hi Vestmann!!! You probably in your 5th dream by now and I've checked that tutorial which looks great except for one thing... I CAN'T FIND IT!!! I mean I got the plugins and I installed them and I restarted max but can't seem to find how to open the import box to do it... talk about novice!!! Someone should just shoot me... I really appreciate getting the info, you think that you could help me a little bit more on how to access the importer program... Thanks a lot... Alex

Hi i think i might know how to get the import box up, i'm not a Max wizard or anything just a newbie, on the file menu there is import, click on this then on the import type change this to Obj, look for the object you want to import then click on open, this is when the import box pops up. hope this helps David

David, Thank you very much... It did work. Though it comes out kind of distorted it does come out way better than before. I am purchasing the Pro Pack with the hopes of that fixing everything. Again, Thank you and wish me luck! Alex
