Ok maybe this is a stupid question, but tried a lot of things but none of them works well. I have bryce 5 and I am trying to make some edges round. For example, when I make a cylinder I want to make it with round edges on top and bottom, now my question is if there is a simpel way to do this or do I need to do it a hard way with adding and substracting some other stuff.... Tell me because I want to do this and am desperate... Thanks for your help

First, there are no stupid questions! Here's what you do. Using spheres, add one to the top and bottom of the cylinder. Sink the spheres down about half way and make sure that the spheres are the same size as around as the cylinders are, then group all three objects together. Be sure to switch from Director view to Top view to make sure the objects are aligned properly. Let me know if you have any problems with this.

you might try this, it's not perfect, but it might work for you. create a torus, then increase the size on the z axis. this will produce a tapered tube. it's quick but not perfect.

If you mean just a cylinder with the sharp edges rounded but the top and bottom still flat there is one in the preset (the triangle next to Create). Otherwiser set your cylinder to positive and a sphere (or 2) to intersect and place then similar to above then group.

I think what you want to do is champher the object. Bryce doesn't do that. The above methods work, but are limited and you might end up putting a cube boolean on the sphere to flatten the top. To get a true champher, you'll need a decent modeling program to make your objects then bring them into Bryce. One effect would be to check the fuzzy box in the materials editor, but I dont' think that's what you're looking for.
