Hi, sorry to open a new thread. StarGate isn't able to receive my mails and asked to post it here instead. SG - I suggest changing your mail provider... ;-) --- I said that it will take some days to remodel the tower for you but it's finished yet (if you like it of course). See attached image - what do you think? Be honest - if you want something else I redo it - if you like it, I put it in the freestuff. Well? Cheers, Jimi

Really cool rework of the tower Jimi :-) I like the dome (not sure about the facets within the geo panels in the dome) It might look good without the dome and just a flat rooftop or a recessed flat rooftop as a sphere could be placed ontop to make the dome. I know I suggested the dome - but I think more variations of structures could be made from the flat roof - like you suggested Thanks and post which ever version you like.

Surprise, surprise: The main tower, the top floor, the rails and the globe are seperate models. You can just take away the dome or replace it with a simple sphere ore anything you like. It's like a construction kit. *grin* Satisfied? :) I will put the model in the freestuff this evening - first want to watch the rest of the movie I'm now watching and then uploading the tower. Cheers, Jimi

Hehe... I knew you would like this. I really think about a real "tower construction kit" with several floor types, tops, stairs - whaddya think? Take care, Jimi

Don't know - perhaps under a giant globe on the top? ;-)

Jimi "I really think about a real "tower construction kit" with several floor types, tops, stairs - whaddya think?" I think your concepts of the tower designs are cool - as far as a commerical product (the kit) it would be different than anything I have seen here. Jimi I think you could make excellent movie 3d model sets and props (lol you might be that already)

Hold it, hold it - I started modelling on... let me see... 25.06.2002 - one month ago. I don't want to do it commercially - mostly I do this for fun and to give something back to the community. Mostly I don't have no use for my own models - LOL. I think this tower construction kit would be cool. I've to finish a huge mansion hall first and then will start developing tower props. I'm thinking of archs, floors, stairs - easily combined for several different types of towers. Let's see. :) Take care, Jimi

Cool Jimi :)

Yeah - a month... :) I'm using SketchUp - it's CAD-like and VERY intuitive to handle for me. I'm taking a little rest now and will hopefully finish the hall on weekend. :) Thanks for your kind comments - I'm happy that you like the models. And I'm curious like hell what you will do with them! ;-) Take care, Jimi

Jimi what program are you using to model? Really great your tower construction set I don't suppose you could add a really slim tower with a a needle like look??

Hi Lindans, just read the posting before yours - SketchUp. :) A needle like look tower wouldn't fit very much the rest of the kit, I think. If you want, mail me a sketch to jimipage@gmx.net and I will model it in my spare time for you. Take care, Jimi
