I was just wondering where do you download the carachters at and the textures? What folder does it go in?

Welcome! Lots of things in the "free stuff" area, and you'll usually find instructions in the "readme" file as to exactly where it goes. Generally, a matter just un-zipping to a specific directory, proper folders are already in the zip files... CHEERS!

As jchimim says, if you unzip the downloaded file, you will usually see which folders the files belongs in. At the link above, you will find a good overview of the different file types you will encounter in Poser and where they belong in the folder hierarchy. (The link is to a section in the "Poser Resources" page you will find if you click on the banner further up on this page)c1rcle posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 10:39 AM
Also depends on which characters you mean, posette & dork are the standard poser4 characters shipped with poser, vicky & mike are for sale at www.Daz3d.com. if you want a decent texture for posette do a search in freestuff for SnowSultan & d/l the Vickybuster texture. 99% of freebies have been saved with the directoreis included so you just have to unzip into the main poser or Runtime directory. Hmmm... just saw that you mentioned textures as well, they are not covered in the list I linked to above, Textures goes in the Poser4runtimetextures folder. As long as you put them anywhere in that folder (or a subfolder thereunder), Poser will find them automatically.
