ok here goes Are there any features that you're not 100% happy with in the new poser but will have to stay as is because of the amount of time left till release? bet you can't answer that ;) Rob

leather-guy posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 2:04 PM

I expect that'd be very hard for them to evaluate, as close as they've been to the project. I imagine they wish everything in the new version was even better than it is - I'd be surprised if they don't already have a "Poser 6" wishlist going :-))

c1rcle posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 2:12 PM

I bet no-one will answer from CL cause it would give away secrets, how about we start a poser6 wishlist then? Rob

ChuckEvans posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 2:16 PM

Well, why would they answer that? I wouldn't expect any software developer to answer a question like that.

I know how about built in lip-syncing.

hey aren't we all allowed to ask daft questions? well that's mine for this week ;)

Well, it passes the time while we wait...

Poor Steve! He's going to return from Siggraph to find 3,000 emails, 200 IMs, and a short list of daft questions awaiting his immediate attention.

EricofSD posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 9:31 PM

Why start a wish list? Neither Corel nor CL posted here for a wish list when they were in development. You get what they offer, not what you want.

leather-guy posted Sat, 27 July 2002 at 9:37 PM

Actually CL solicited WishList requests here and elsewhere for quite some time in the early stages of developing Poser5.

leather-guy posted Sun, 28 July 2002 at 1:40 AM

EricofSD posted Sun, 28 July 2002 at 1:57 AM

Well, I sit corrected. Never saw that. Ok, I'll go back to my corner and flog myself again.

c1rcle posted Sun, 28 July 2002 at 5:05 AM

lol "Salmon mist" hey it's not that bad really, I think color schemes people use calls for another thread in OT. Rob

Hey KUPA's back!! How was it at siggraph? Hot? Alex

kupa posted Mon, 29 July 2002 at 12:58 AM

Siggraph was very hot, in both a welcome to Texas it's 100 degree/90% humidity outside and a "holy s#@t that's Poser?" way... ...and now that I'm back, maybe we can finally get the website updated so all those great questions can finally get answered.

ardvarc37 posted Mon, 29 July 2002 at 2:45 AM

Sounds really good, we all will read it. People are extremely 'curious' as to upgrade prices, after the newswire announcement. I am kind of glad P5 will not need a monster video card because they are too expensive and mine is still good enough for the latest games. But I will upgrade my chip, MB and RAM for rendering and rotating figures like Vina D (117,000 polygons). At least a 2.2-4 ghz chip should do well for both jobs. Thank you for the reply indeed! Alex

bet it wasn't all fun in the sun tho, I feel most sorry for the poor guys who had to mop up all the drool caused by Poser5 ;) Rob
