Wow!!! This is beautiful, the realism is incredible, and the textures are wonderful. It looks like an excellent product.

Thanks. I have been working hard on improving my texture skills and this is the product where the difference is evident. We have also made a number of improvements in modeling and the Poser file efficiency. As amatter of fact , we will be pulling our older products from the store as of August 1st so that what is there will be of consistent quality. We hope to have to this product in the stores in the next week (depending on testing at RMP and 3DC!

This looks fabulous, Deb. I really like the way the textures look good both in close ups and from a distance. That's quite hard to do.

Thanks! I had been playing around with quite a few looks before deciding on this one, so I can feel a free pack on the way with some of the variations we didn't use.

Lynn and I are working on the final CR2 today. We have one texture issue we are trying to track down. As soon as we can get it packaged up and the ReadMe completed, it will go to the stores for testing.

I have one question. In the second image, there's a house in the background. What model is that? Where can I get it? :) Kate (the Houseaholic)

WOW Deb, this turned out just GORGEOUS!! Your texturing is really looking quite beautiful. Exceptional!! ~Tamela

Kate, You are just too funny. And your vision is just too good! I can send you the transparent TIFF of the house, but it is not a model. Shall we model a house for you? I have been considering a series of historical castles and manor homes.

Shall we model a house for you? I have been considering a series of historical castles and manor homes. << Oooh, you do that and I'll be your new best friend. G I've had a project on the back burner for ages simply because I couldn't find a suitable model to use as a backdrop/stage setting. I need one of those old, huge mansion type things, but everything out there is just too modern. I need something I can really haunt that looks like it's full of secret passages and such, but all the non-fantasy stuff is either too small or too modern but that image looked just like what I need - an old antebellum plantation house or an old English manor type thing would be just the ticket for my project. If you build it, they will buy. (At least, I will, anyway) hehe Kate

The palace really is gorgeous - I love the mosaic floor.
dadamson posted Tue, 30 July 2002 at 12:47 PM
Kate, We can put this on our request list. I am hoping to finish up the facade for an Italian Villa in the next couple of weeks. (this is a request from Tamela) There is also another palace on the way, but I don't think it is what you have in mind. Are you most interested in the interior or exterior... or both? Do you have any pictures of something that you are thinking about? If so I would love to see them. It is easier for me to model if I have a starting point. We are always open to requests, the whole Egyptian project was because a customer requested something Egyptian. We also have a request in for Knossos, which may be more than we have resources to do at the moment. I was looking at images of Windsor Castle the other night until I slapped myself back into reality!! We might be able to build it, but you would probably need Poser running on a Cray Supercomputer to render it. LOL. Imagine the size of the download!! Another important factor for us is cost containment, we want to keep the products under $20. All suggestions are gratefully received!
KateTheShrew posted Tue, 30 July 2002 at 3:51 PM
No, I don't have anything specific in mind. Windsor Castle is just a tad too large (but wouldn't it be Great??). I need at least a front facade and one or two interior rooms (I can always redecorate a room). If I were building something like that I'd make a hollow shell for the overall building and then for the interior I'd do the main entryway (with staircase and upper floor balcony), at least one interior room with a replaceable wall for each window and door style. These can be duplicated and lined up for closeup exterior shots and interior scenes. That would keep the file size fairly small and give the user the ability to basically create their own interiors. Think Gone with the Wind. :)

Woohoo! Got it, can't wait to play with it. Don't be surprised if nobody sees or hears from me for the next few days, weeks, months... hehe Kate (off to populate the new building with a bunch of imaginary greek babes snicker)
