Thanks derjimi. It's a test item I am working on. Texture map painting onto a 2d texture map is new for me.

Highly fossiliferous. One can get quite good caves by boolean subtraction of boulders.

Thanks Phantast. I have 3.1 and have been looking for tuts on the subject. I have been told that the terrains can be saved out of Bryce in other than obp but I have not been able to do it yet (might not be able to in 3.1) If you can not save terrains in other formats than obp in B3.1 - how our other people doing it - do they send them somewhere and have them done or is this something the newer versions can do and people are re-saving the obp of other peoples as other formats for them?

Jessica McClaren was working on caves a couple of months ago. Might check the archives under "cave". I forget the name of the thread. also . . . You can save the terrain map and take that into a modeler that supports terrain mapping, such as RDS(I haven't got my copy of Carrara 2 yet so I can't say If Carrara supports this, but I should be able to tell you next week.) .

Myself, I've never felt the need to export anything from Bryce. For me it is the final destination, unless you count Photoshop.
