How can I get my poser skin to look more realitic? I know about bump maps and how they are used but I'm not sure where to find them for skin textures. Any suggestions on places to look? I don't think I'm up to making one on my own yet, lol. Much thanks for any help. :)

A lot depends on what character you want it for - I got an incredible set (Bump & Grind) of bmp maps over at RDNA for several characters. Some of the Textures in the market place here come with BMP maps also. Have you tried doing a search in FreeStuff here, may be some there..... ..Just checked, using "bump" there's 138 matches - Several skin bumps in the first few pages. Cheers!

Skin is Skin. Try these for skin bumps and textures. Scan or photograph: Leather Orange Peal Poser4 bump makes for better if you simply convert your greyscale image to BITMAP and rename the extention like a bumpmap. If you convery the greyscale using Poser4 it does something to the colors that they got rid of in ProPack. Anton anton@daz3d.com

Hi, Anton! Yes, there is an inverted channel problem which MartinC pointed out. Anybody with PhotoShop can fix it by hand, but it is a nuisance depending upon how complicated the mapping. For something as randomized as skin, the shouldn't be noticed much. For patterned objects like fabric or machinery, it is rather obvious.
