I just bought the Herma character this morning and I can't get mover to decode the pcf file. I keep getting a "range check error". I bought Stephanie about a month ago, so I don't think I need the update. I've tried downloading everything twice, and I'm using mover 1.01. Anyone got any ideas? It's really frustrating!

You get the error because the Steph obj is to new (updated). I could not decode the updated obj file either, but when I changed back to the old obj file, everything went fine. You could also go to Arduino's homepage, I think he has a fix for it by now. http://www.3dpmr.com/Artists/Arduino/index.asp

I don't have an older obj file, just the updated one. On the Herma page, it says you have to have the updated version of Stephanie. Also I couldn't find a fix for it anywhere. Is there a way I can get the older obj file?

You need to contact DAZ and get the Stephanie update. The OBJ file will be dated 03/11/02.

That is the .PCF will only convert with the OBJ file with that date.
Does yours have a later date than that?

The date I have is 4/2/02.

Seemingly, Daz did a second update to the blStephanie.obj (04/02/2002). I got that new file with my purchase of their "Aiko for Stephanie" character. Unfortunately Daz forgot to mention it on the "updates" page, and, worst, the update for Stephanie they provide currently do contain the 03/11/02 blStephanie.obj.

Unfortunately any versions of the Stephanie geometries give problems with the PCF file. Daz affirms that in last updated version the OBJ file will be dated 03/11/02. If you have problems with the PCF file, please, contact me. arduino@magiclandia.org Arduino
