Hi all. Is it me? I'm having real problems saving/applying poses. One of the most common things that happens is that some part of the body doesn't svae the pose info (usually legs for some reason). You save the pose and then apply it to another figure, the arms, they pose beautifully. The legs... nothing at all (well, actually they usually move, but move back to default). Is this an IK thing? I'm sure I've tried everything though (IK on/off, morphs incl. not incl., select all elements in subset, etc.) but I will admit I may have missed something in my confusion/fustration. Also, quite often when I apply a pose to a figure I get a wierd chin lump thing. Has anyone else seen this? I've got Pro Pack and SR3. What am I doing wrong? (oh btw, I think that the pose dots work okay, but obviously with there being 9 that's not a great help, not more wierdness)

Whenever I load Poser I turn off the IK chains for the legs. This will fix the problem. Then apply the pose after. That should do the trick. Anton anton@daz3d.com

Ah. Thanks. I suspected I may have missed that step :) I take it there is no way to have IK off by default? What if I save a character (or document) with IK turned off, will it be turned off when I load it back next time?

no. You can open the cr2 in a text editor and do a serch for the word "ON". There will be two refering to the ik chains. Replace on with off. That should do it Anton

The first thing I do when loading a character or a garment is turn off that damnable IK everywhere it raises its loathsome head. It messes things up and creates far more problems than it solves. You can always turn it back on later IF you really, really, REALLY need it.
