What a nice idea to collect this urls! But anything for my Mac (not this discussion again)?? Especially some years ago i tested a little shareware program which was able to let you paint fractals in 3D space (voxels). I think that would be perfect to produce foam etc. BUT I FORGOT THE NAME - AND DELETED IT. Anybody any idea??? :-)) Walther

still haven't found my little Mac program i am looking for. But tomight i had some ideas which maybe could be interesting. Computer Arts (british magazine) from time to time offers on the added CD full products. On CD of issue 67 it was Poser 3 On CD of issue 58 Amapi 4.15 On CD of issue 63 EyeCandy 3.1 So this are not the newest versions of the packages, but they are free. AND THEY ARE THERE FOR BOTH WORLDS - PC AND MAC! And i think you can order old issues from the magazine, so there is a chance to get these. www.computerarts.co.uk :-)) Walther

Just in case you need a bit more control with your lego meshes don't forget this program to. It's slightly, like way more powerful than the program above but you still need the program above to convert the dat files to obj. Don't make your meshes too big or you'll have problems importing them into Vue or any other program for that matter. Best export it in groups with a master file for all the groups. That way if the big mesh is too big to import you can import the smaller groups and put it back togeather again In Vue. I mean big meshes. 1500 parts, maybe break it up to 200 parts where it will be easy to put back togeather again. I've managed to import 1500 piece meshes all at once but it took a long time and a few times it never imported. But it did import eventually.sittingblue posted Fri, 27 December 2002 at 3:49 PM

This thread has got long lost so I'll resurrect it cause there is tons of new FREE programs out there that could come in handy to the Vue community and the backroom is not keeping up to date. I sent some in and they never got posted there. Now there lost. Some kind of java mesh builder program. Now I'm not sure if this is it or not. It was cool anyway. I sent it to Agiel in a private message months ago. So if you find some program free and you think it will be help to other Vue'ers then post on this thread.
