Hello vue forum. Sorry for this newbie question.. Im using Vue4.1 I have a P4 at 1.4 ghz, 32meg video card and 640 meg of RD ram. Im running widows ME.. Im using vue in wireframe with a small window to the lower right showing what the render should look like.. After loading a few objects the wireframe freezes..If I render I cannot save the color picture after that..It wont let me save as a jpeg to work on in photoshop..very frustrating! the only thing Im running at the time is Vue. Any ideas?? regards PE

I have had a similar problem since I purchased Vue. If you go to the FAQ at the link, and look at the first question, you'll see a possible remedy. Has to do with the way Vue is "multi-threaded" or something. Also, you may want to update drivers for your graphics card. I tried doing that first, but it didn't solve the problem; I did what the FAQ suggested, and so far *knock on wood* so good. Has also worked for a friend of mine having a similar strange problem with her display.tesign posted Fri, 02 August 2002 at 12:43 AM
This has always makes me feel what video card I should buy next foor my next change. Isn't all the video card on the market having latest good stuff in their drivers? I see lots of video card now in the market and mostly are meant for killer games rather towards those for application (like from 3d Labs range). My question has always been there as to what video card would e-on AT LEAST or anyone recommend...jsut in case, what if the latest of their up date drivers don't work? What has one to turn off Open GL to get normal performance while Vue offers Open GL? What's going on?
