Hi everyone! Anybody got a decent solution to this situation? I can't seem to get the lampshade to glow like a real one would. Seems all the control I have is to adjust the transparency of the shade material, and the intensity of the radial light nested inside the bulb. Transparency is set to 2 or 3; anything more and very little light escapes to illuminate the scene. Any suggestions?

Try adjusting the ambience setting on the lamp shade's texture.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

That would be my suggestion too.

Do you have a sphere light object in that bulb there? And this shade does have some ambience, about 37 on the slider.

It may not work, but try creating a duplicate lamp shade just under the one you have and set the mode to "additive."
