Nothing about Bryce Pro, but regarding Poser-5 check this one. You certainly know already, but movies 1 and 2 are really awesome!EricofSD posted Tue, 06 August 2002 at 1:01 AM
Not a peep. If corel does like they did with B5, they'll ignore this forum and ignore the beta tester input and put out a product that's just as useless as their Word Imperfect Office 2002 suite. After a $50k loss this year due to crashes and lost data, we are in the process of chaning over 8 years of files from .wpd to .doc. We know the cost of conversion, especially since MS doesn't write a decent filter for importing .wpd, and decided that its worth it.

Aye, again I can't stress Corel's massive marketing mistake in keeping us here at Renderosity guessing. If I knew who their marketing director was, I'd fire him myself. Can anyone say "insider trading"? But we should remember that the Bryce team consists of many O.G. Bryce creators, and that Corel as a company merely publishes Bryce. If Corel's PR group sucks, that may not have anything to do with Bryce 6 as a product... But I don't need prescience to feel the coming disappointment. Corel is ****ing clown shoes... to paraphrase Ben Affleck.

Well Ericof SD, now that you're converting to MSTurd, you'll get to experience all the random changes that it will make in your document formatting (i.e., make a change to text on p. 30, and find that Turd has moved a graphic from p. 12 to p. 8 and now will NOT let you move it back, no matter what), it's refusal to let you change things (again, totally random and unpredictable) requiring total deletion and retyping from scratch of various blocks of text, the frequent crashing and document corruption and resultant loss of files, and the consistently user-hostile approach to EVERYTHING that's such a BIG feature of the 'product.' Enjoy (I will admit Corel seems to have totally blown it with their latest version, though their WPOffice2000/WP9 suite works very well. Trust them to screw up a good product.)
