I've searched this forum and the Poser forum but can't find where this question has been asked, so here goes... There's no word on E-on's or Curious Lab's sites regarding Poser 5 scenes and Vue 4. I just got a mailer from E-on for Mover 4 and, again, no mention of Poser 5 compatibility. Am I to take it that this means there will be no Poser 5 scene import into Vue 4? Sorry if this has already been answered. I just can't find it.

I'm not sure, depends on if the p5 files are the same format as p4, if so I don't see why not, and if not, then, I'm sure e-on will have an update as soon as available after release of p5, at least, once THEY get a chance to look @ it too. and if not, there is always obj files.

CL said backward compatibility with older Poser Release. They don't modify the pz3 files, just add more stuff in it in order to manage dynamic hair and cloth. I assume Vue will still "accept" the P5 release. We should only switch off all the new Poser stuff maybe. Laurent

That is correct, Laurent, but... Vue expects the poser4.exe to be available on the PC for the pz3 import to work. If you "just" have a poser5.exe, you will have a problem with the present Vue pz3 import functionality. If you still have Poser 4 installed in a separate directory after upgrading to Poser 5... who knows? As Guitta says, we just have to wait for more info, and it's E-on that has to provide it. However, with the efforts made by both Curious Labs and E-on to make Poser and Vue compatible, I would be extremely surprised if they had forgotten about this little detail...

heyas; it isn't 'poser4.exe' it is 'poser.exe.' of course, if you point your unsuspecting vue 4 at the poser 5 version of poser.exe.... well, who knows what could happen? :)

You're absolutely correct, bloodsong! But, as you indicate, the Poser 5 "poser.exe" will without doubt be different from the Poser 4 "poser.exe", so Vue will be confused.
