Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.

This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.

Something I found while hand-editing my ERC actions. I'm hiding all but the 'base' part of the prop (which is the actor that Poser automatically selects anyway), and putting all the controls on that part for convenience. Those controls must include scaling the entire contraption. I expected that parenting would insure that the 'child' parts would scale up and down along with the base, but that didn't work. What does work is to set up the 4 scale parameters on the base part as "propagating". Instead of the usual keylines like scale Scale scaleX xScale scaleY yScale scaleZ zScale use instead: propagatingScale scale propagatingScaleX xScale propagatingScaleY yScale propagatingScaleZ zScale for each dial that needs to control all parts in unison. Note the capital S in propagatingScale!
