This is a clock from an antique store...there are many things that I wish were better about this...the blown out highlights on the tag (which I did try to fix, I'm still trying to get a feel for dodging and burning)..the tight crop on the bottom...but it's a cool clock, so I wanted to share. Can you see how much they want for it? I have a feeling it doesn't even work.

Wow. was taken with your digital? ( if so, just wondering if the the highlight information is in the original capture, and recoverable) it is a very engaging image,.. especially for me, time management has been a quite a battle lately. good work, despite the highlights!

That color dodge & burn does take a while to figure out. I'm still learning them too. $600?!? Think I'll settle instead for your picture. This would be a good pic to start over with a bunch of times and see what you come up with each time. m

hi, i like this, especially the "ye olde worlde" effect that you have going... like you said the highlights on the whit thumb tack is distracting...i find the brightness of the tag ok. is this digital?

I think it was made in 1904 either that or 1804. How tall is it? Creative comments. Move the tag to the bottom of the clock. Fix the dark section on the upper area of the clock. Increase the contrast and add some creative noise perhaps tone up the green or yellow tint the post it to the gallery. I kinda like it myself. ( BTW if I was loaded I might pay $600.00 for it. ) It probably works. Bsteph

Thanks everyone...yes this was on the digital..Jerry not sure how I would recover highlight info, though I do have the original image somewhere. @Brian the clock is not very big, it's more of a mantle size not a grandfather clock.

This is soo kewl. I like the colors of this pic, it really adds to the ancient feel to this. I'm kind of wishing that there was more of the clock at the bottom. The International thingy is such a tease. (*

Very nice Michelle. I like the feeling that is generated by the photo--almost seems like an old colored drawing. I bet it would be interesting in b/w also--or maybe a sepia --or duotone. Diane
