For anyone like me who can't currently afford the MilKids and isn't likely to have the cash to upgrade to Poser 5 in the near future (let alone afford a machine that can run it), I'm going to keep on working on freebies for the P4 kids. :^)

Now Colin's up in freestuff his kid sister Katie is the next figure package in the works. I'm trying a full body morph as well as a head morph this time, aiming for a younger look than the default figure. She's still in progress- I'd like to do something about those huge shoulders for a start Any comments on the work so far would be welcome, because I'm venturing into what is new Poser territory for me.

Now's also a good time to suggest extra goodies to go with the Katie character. I'm already intending to include a texture/bump/trans, MAT files, and a few expression morphs such as pouting lips, puckered lips and eye wince. I thought a peaches-and-cream blonde would suit her texture-wise, but I'm open to suggestions. So, fire away! I can't promise to include everything, but any reasonable suggestions I can manage I'll do my best to add in. :^)

i think p5 is going to really upgrade the old p4 characters, even the kids. after all, that is what curious labs bought, when they bought out metacreations.

She's adorable, and much more realistic looking. I think you are doing a great job. :)

Hai Gan, Thanks so much for your excellent work and for making it free. I'm using "Colin" in a current project and consider him to be a big improvement of the default P4 casual boy. I look forward to Katie. I also make frequent use of the reflection maps that you made available at freestuff recently, and want to thank you very much for those, too.

Thank you, I'm glad that people are finding my stuff useful. :^) The info for P5 does seem to suggest that they'll be upgrading the Poser kids, but have you seen the system requirements? I for one am still working on a poor old PII 266. I don't know when the Mac version will be out either. So, I'll keep on doing this stuff and drool from afar at the new toys Curious Labs are bringing out until I can scrounge enough bits to build myself a better PC and save up for the Poser upgrade. I do like the look of the new dynamic hair though. Me want, me want!

If some of the information coming out of Curious Labs is to believed, P4 textures will be fully compatible with the new P5 figures. Might be worth my while trying for the photorealistic look with this one, if that's the case. Never tried a really detailed texture from scratch before. Sounds fun, though! Oh, and a quick word for Penguinisto- I seem to have managed to pick the same name for this character as you did for one of yours. Sorry! I just thought it suited this cheeky little monster.
