This one was easier to shoot than my first butterflies. For one thing it was larger, and it stayed put for the most part. I'm having a lot trouble with focusing now. A few weeks ago, I broke my eyeglasses beyond usefulness. I take too much time focusing, and not much effort composing. :-( (*starshuffler posted Tue, 13 August 2002 at 1:08 PM

I particularly like the linked one--nice exposure, details nice. I gather you are scanning these images. What would happen if you scanned at high res and cropped for a composition you liked better--plus more focus on the butterfly??

I'm so tempted to do that, but I just thought I'd post them the way they are so I can get input from you guys regarding shots of this nature (oops sorry for the pun...). This is all new to me (I'm not a nature-photographer sort of person) so any help and feedback is very much appreciated. :-) (*

I like the second one more. Somehow, in the first one, composition does not work so good. I suggest that scan&crop too. Beautiful images still. :o) Go girl, find your nature self. .n
