I'm totally stoked about Tree Druid, and plan on ordering as soon as I'm done with my current project. One thing I have noticed, tho, is that all the tree druid trees I have seen are somewhat bare. I love the effect of the branches and a few leaves, but can it create full, bushy, summertime trees, too? If so, it's probably a truckload of polygons, but sometimes that what it takes... Thanks! Jeff

After reading the FAQ that Clint posted, I beleive that the full version controls leaf densities better than the plug-in version. Mark

Thanks. That makes it even harder to decide which version to buy. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and buy both. Jeff

I've been 'investigating' (read playing) with TD today and found that with scaling different components I can fill out a tree to my hearts content. Especially, since you can create your own leaf transparancy maps, you can create multiple leaves where there is only one leaf placement. Just trying to make the decision even harder. How am I doing? BTW, check out the online manual at www.zenstar.com for a more complete description of the capabilities. It's pretty thorough. The thing that I really like about the plug in version is that there is no importing of obj files so the shading goes faster. Mark

I have read the online manual. I love it when people put manuals up, it makes it much easier to figure out what their product does! I think I'm going to get the plug-in then bug Mike at Zenstar about documenting the file format so I can tweak it by hand when I need to. If that doesn't work, I'll save up to buy the standalone, too. Thanks for your help!
