1. When you need to position precisely objects or plants on the ground, you might want to use a grid. To do so, create a new terrain, flatten it and drag it underneath the ground, so that it no longer appears in the main camera view. Now, you have a grid and you can easily position your objects. You can also place the terrain in a locked layer to avoid selecting it accidently. Once everything is settled, simply delete the terrain. 2. How do you quickly find an object in a huge scene? It may happen that you lose track of a tiny object in your scene. To find it quickly, just select it in the World browser. Click on the "Zoom on Selection" button located in the upper toolbar. The object will automatically fill the wireframe views. From then on, you can simply zoom out of the views to see where your object is in the scene.
