This is kind of a hard question to ask, but here it goes. I own Poser 4 and can't wait for poser 5. Is it wise to buy the entire Poser 5 program or just the upgrade. As a seperate program, Poser 5 should be able to run by itself. However, wouldn't the upgrade convert Poser 4 to 5. This way, by getting the entire Poser 5 program, you could have both Poser 4 and 5 running on your computer at the same time. Any thoughts on the subject? Thanks

I've never heard of an upgrade program that converted the old version to the new one. Most, if not all, upgrades just need the old version's serial number. That and price would be the only difference between "Upgrade" and "Full Version." Example: I still have Photoshop 6 on my machine even after installing the Photoshop 7 upgrade. Both are complete.

Since Poser 5 is a major upgrade, I'm sure that it is a stand alone product even if you buy it as an upgrade. The difference when you buy it as an upgrade is just that you get a better price by providing a valid license number for Poser 4. You will get exactly the same product as those who buy Poser 5 as "non Poser 4 owners".

All of our products, whether "full" or "upgrade" are in fat the full version. The differnce is in the pricing. Thisis true of most "upgrade" versions, which simply require you to own (but not have installed) a previous version. Anthony Hernandez Curious Labs
