I own 3d studio max and have enjoyed having the Pro Pack plugin. I was wondering if Poser 5 will have this? Or, will the same plugin work?

read at curious labs. Pluggins are not ready yet and they won't be able to take advantage of all of P5's new features.

Thats what I understand, and it is a serious problem. The new rendering engine looks great, but it is absolutely no substitute for the high end render systems available in Max (especially Max5). Forcing those of us who do work with the high end systems to chose between using Poser figures or using the Max render engine is a no brainer, Poser loses. Even if the quality of the renders was up to the same there would be a problem of scene scale and plug-in/fx support. Poser 5 looks REALLY good - but I really hope CL gets a Max 5 plug in with complete support out there soon or they are going to miss an opportunity they can't afford to miss.

Ive decided not to buy poser5 until the propack5 to cinema plugin is ready while he new features of poser 5 are impressive for poser they offer me nothing that im not already doing in cinema, except the face room, I already do cloth, strand hair and collision in C4DXL and my poser4 cinema plugin is rock solid.

Try to work with Konans MaximumPose ... Its not very cheap but he has his products are on sale I have heard. http://innuendo.ev.ca/ Poser 5 will work with .pz3 and .obj files so MaximumPose will handle them. Hope that helps Chris
