Heres my entry. Followed a quick bryce underwater tutorial and made my first underwater scene. Felt rushed as only saw this contest on the 15th, imported modles made from past pictures and created a few new ones in xfrog to round it out. Most models are from Xfrog, excluded the dome and floating ship. ************* Decades of probes sent to distant stars. Billion dollar deep space telescopes. The first humans are in transit to the nearest stars where hints of life exist. But even as we moved towards the stars, a suprize awaited us in our own solar system. How were we to know that Jupiters moon of Europa would be the first place other then earth to be found to contain life. Strange floating jellyfish and 1000 metre tall kelp; even the water itself is full of microscopic green glowing alien plankton filling the world with a diffuse light. Within years underice research facilities were set up. To find the most alien, we need only look in our own backyard. ***************

Very nice, I love to ripple effect. The one thing I could point out is that the scale is just a bit funny in the picture, and without close studying it looks like the dome is just an underwtaer buoy or a piece of research equipment. Maybe it's the camera angle and the lighting. If you have a chance, play with the camera and see what you can come up with. Also, try dimming the lights as you go further away, and that will help with both depth-illusion and scale.
