I have Bryce and Bryce Lightning setup on two computers and it works well. Last night I started a long rendering session of an animation. I have two questions from my experiences last night: 1. Is there amy way to tell how close rendeing is to being finished. Numbers flash on the screen of both computers but nothig as simple as a progress bar. 2. On the Bryce computer, I'd check disk space to make sure that I had enough or check email. Sometimes when getting back to Bryce I'd click somewhere and it would turn off Render on host computer. I could get back rendering on the host by going throgh the file dialog and settings. But what did I click to turn off render on host? Is there a simple way to turn it back on? Thanks, John

Click the little button right next to the big render button on the right to resume the render if you've stopped it. I don't now if this works during lightning but I would assume it does. Whenever you click anywhere on the bryce screen it will stop whatever render you are doing.(yes, we all hate this - a simple warning message would be nice) In figuring out how long it will take, render one frame and look at the time it took, and then multiply it by the number of frames you have in the animation. The numbers may tell you, but I don't know what they mean because I have never gotten lightning to work before. Also try looking in the bottom left of the host computer and you may find info there.

Network Render manager lets you pause and check progress on a Bryce Lightning render. Resume render button does apply in that case. Details are in the manual on page 314.
