Pretty cool, although I'm not sure a chain mail is suitable for good ole Drizzt. He is after the greatest warrior in the world Both underworld and upperworld. He is untouchable, so all a chain mail would do is slow him down. Maybe make one of those scimitar with a blue aura. Also I'd make is eyes more almondlike since he is of elven blood, also more expressionless. Try to find those Leather gloves he has if possible too. He has them on most of is cover. So far so good, keep up the good work

Nice job. And actually, Drizzt DOES wear chain mail. It was a specially crafted suit of mithril chain mail given to him by his very good friend Bruenor. It's basically the same as elfin chain mail which is as heavy and encumbering as a thick sweather. =) Which, having actually worn and fought in chain mail is probably like wearing titanium chain instead of steel chain.

looking good :) Love the skin tone, my dark elves always came out too "dark" or too blue, but you've managed to get the colour just right. Maybe he needs a couple of scabbards for those scimitars? Good job Dal

Do you know, there are NO scimitar scabbards anywhere to be found anywhere?!

Read several of those books and loved the character. Take one of the covers and place it as a background while working on the character. I think that he was wider through the cheekbone area. I like what I'm seeing here, great start on a great character. I'll be interested when he's done! Don't have any elves yet in my collection. Just fairies.

I think it is unfortunate that Drizzt was drawn the way he was. He looks to old and grumpy in Easley's paintings. He also looked way too human with those ridiculous sideburns. D&D elves (and drow) can not grow any facial hair. This is much closer to how I envision him. Good job so far, keep us posted!

I agree whol-heartedly about the way he was drawn. Drow live for hundreds of years, so Drizzt is (in human years) the equivalent of 18-20. There is no way he should look 35-40!

heya; yeah, who said he was making easley's drizzt? deal can make his own. but where's gruenhwyvar?

Yup he wore a chain mail when he used to be underworld, but now he wears the ranger tunic. As for paintings there is a few very nice cover with Drizzt on it. The only cover I found he looked bad in, were the cover from the Dark Elf Trilogie(is first one)

Sorry, to correct you, but Drizzt wore a drow elf chain mail tunic when in the underdark. But it disintegrated after being in the sunlit world. Now he wears the mithril chain mail tunic made for him by bruenor. It mentions it a few times in the later books and specifically mentions it in the AD&D stats for him published by TSR.
