Attached Link: Order your upgrade to Poser now!
...specifically, Poser 5's availability schedule, here's some details.Would you like to upgrade to Poser 5?
Does the package sound like it's priced right, has a bunch of features you want to check out, and you want it the first moment possible?
Want to know when that time might be?
Okay, here's a here-to-fore unknown, very cool tidbit...
You can preorder your upgrade to Poser 5 right now!
If you preorder, your copy of P5 will ship on or before September 15th.
We expect a heavy demand for Poser 5 and expect there might be some backlog once we go live, but if you preorder, you'll be able to avoid any delays.
There are a few restrictions on where we can offer this preorder upgrade. Those details are on our website. Our European customers will have to wait until the Ireland store is ready to processs preorder sales which should be at the end of the week.
One last little detail, if you're looking for a full version of Poser 5, we're offering a $20 US discount on the price to preoder customers!
Anyway- a P5 toast to tuesday!
Steve Cooper

One question, nothing on multiseats which was supposed to be released (Info on pricing etc) when orders were taken for P5. Does Pre-Order count? Tom
phoenixamon posted Tue, 20 August 2002 at 6:45 PM
Seems like the last time you referred to your Tuesdayphilia, it was in a thread asking for renders of the P5 kids. Please? More chewy goodness, before we tear each other to bits arguing whether anyone has a right to criticize the Judy mesh... Phoenix

PA, I'll have a few images of the kids posting. We had a few other fish to fry today... The kids look really good, to me at least... ;-) Kupa

hey Tom- No pre-orders on site licensing...you have to wait until September 15 to contact us about that, sorry! Tori
phoenixamon posted Tue, 20 August 2002 at 6:55 PM
Thank, Kupa. I am humming along placing my advance order. :) There is a bit of a flaw in the order process for the upgrade from Pro Pack. It asks for your Poser Serial number, but what it really wants is your Pro Pack serial number. I actually expeced the form to want both serials, so it slowed me down by half a minute. ;) Phoenix

Query - are the shipments going out to the other stores at the same time, or will they get copies before the public? I backordered mine at an education software house, so I was just kind of curious. ("be the first on YOUR block to have..." Heh - just acting like a kid the day before Christmas, that;s all :) /P

September 15th? I was kinda' hoping you might have some "advance" copies available at Dragon*Con. Never the less, I just placed my order a few minutes ago and your forms accepted my serial number with no problem. I'm just grateful we have been allowed to pre-order. Thanks, Steve Cooper and the rest at Curious Labs! Sincerely, BillTempt the Hand of Fate and it'll give you the "finger"!

I want to preorder for an upgrade from Poser pro Pack .I click on add to cart ,give my PPP serial number but i always receive a message about nothing in my cart.Anyway ,what about transport cost for Canada(I live in Montreal area)?.When i order PPP ,the transport cost for Canada was so exppensive ,more than to ship it in an African country. So i waited and ordered it from Daz store where the cost was good, better than from Curious Labs .So Will it be possible to oerder Poser5 from DAZ store?

starlet posted Tue, 20 August 2002 at 7:39 PM
Canadian shipping has been cut in half from Curious Labs, we also now offer ground shipping for those of you don't need it RIGHT AWAY. We will have many resellers that will sell, but you can only buy an upgrade directly from CL. I don't know what you error issue is, please email webmaster@curiouslabs.com if you continue to have an empty cart.

From the website: $179 - Poser 4 Mac... to Poser 5 Win Okay, we'll excuse such a heinous gaffe if you agree that when the Mac version is released, we'll have access to the same deal. Mac to Win -- I don't think so.........

I ordered mine too, but why didn't it say it was a secure site? Is it because it the store opened in a new window? Usually I see a padlock at the bottom of the screen and the address will say https. I saw neither. I like to see both. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Kevin

I just placed my order for P5 (nearly died in traffic to get home to place the order!) and I noticed that the price for Next Day Air was the same as Ground Delivery. Is this correct? (If it makes a difference, I ordered PPP to P5 upgrade.) If you guys really want to not charge extra for the Next Day Air, I'm not complaining, but I want to make sure that isn't a mistake. (Don't hang me, people!) Cheers! Cres

Uh...Consider it an extra added bonus for those of you who rushed in and wanted it right away...unfortunately, bug has now been fixed. :)
Momcat posted Tue, 20 August 2002 at 7:57 PM
Wacom does that too. They rely on the honor of their customers to choose the delivery method that suits their needs rather than their desires.

Well, my preorder is in place. Good thing I got this new credit card recently. My old card had a limit of only $300; I really had to limit my monthly purchases with that one. I still think it would have been more fun to send the pennies.

starlet posted Tue, 20 August 2002 at 9:22 PM
Multiple licenses are not available for pre-sale, please contact sales@curiouslabs.com and details will be sent tyo you after release. If you have already emailed, I have you on file and as soon as we announce that pricing, I will let you know. :) tori

Just some friendly criticism ... it sounds like your order center is being beta'd on us. (Which is just fine by me, especially since we're ordering P5.) And it appears your correcting things as you hear about them, so that is doubly-good. But it could be hurting sales marginally. Here are some other things I noticed:
Good luck and godspeed!

First...YIPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!! Second, I'm having some of the same problems listed above. I selected my country to access the store (Taiwan) with no problem. Registerd. Downloaded and installed the 128-bit encryption add-on for W2K. Clicked the Upgrade from Pro Pack. Entered the serial number. In my cart, I then saw Deep Paint 3D added + the P5 Upgrade. Tried to remove it (just the Deep Paint), and it removed both DP 3D and P5 Upgrade. Tried to go through the process again. Got two other unwanted items in my cart along with P5 Upgrade. Same thing. Tried to remove the unwanted items and it removed everything. Now, when I try to add anything to my cart, it tells me my cart is empty. I'm sure you are under siege with all the orders, but hey...I WANT MY POSER 5! ;-) No problem. I'll try again a little later. Thanks to everybody at Curious Labs.

I also had the problem where I got kicked out of the checkout sequence by trying to choose Next Day Air. I really wanted Next Day Air. I can't wait.
Crescent posted Wed, 21 August 2002 at 10:44 AM
I had the same problem selecting Next Day Air. I'd select Next Day Air and the page would dump me back to the beginning. I finally clicked on Next Day Air then quickly hit the Continue Order button and it worked. My receipt does show Next Day Air, so I'm happy. Are you guys going to post the actual ship day? I fully intend to call in sick the day Poser shows up!
