ok is there a lighting tutorial out there to tell me how people get these awesome freaking lighting set ups? and is there a way to do volume light in Poser like you would do in Max?

volume lighting is almost impossible in poser4 without cheating & I don't even know where to start on that. for a turorial on Global Illumination you could start here : http://www.3d-cc.com/thirdeyefunction/dl-welcome.htm REMC also has some great characters on his site. Rob

There are some wonderful lighting sets in Free Stuff that have helped me tremendously, but the coolest set I've found was Blackhearted's Pro Luma Light Set, which cost amazingly little in the Marketplace. It may even have been the first thing I purchased there. Once you find a setup you like, see how well you can duplicate it on your own, starting with one light. It's working for me :) Illustrender sets by SnowSultan are excellent, too--I think I've collected all of them (and they're free). Good lighting seems to make the difference between life-like and plastic people in Poser.

RuntimeDNA has a couple of freebie lighting set-ups that are truly cool. Not everything in the set is grand, but there are a few in each that are seriously outstanding.
