Subject: Error message, no file specified

Hi, I have only been a memeber for about 2 weeks and I keep getting error messages when I try to download stuff in the freebies section. Its always the same one, error, no file specified. I am hoping someone can help me as I don't want to try and buy anything from the markeplace untill I know I can download from here. Also, if this is not the right forum for this kind of question can you tell me which one is?

Hi there Debbie, I'll have to ask admin about the error message, but I can at least allay your fears about anything similar happening in the MarketPlace. Free Stuff items and MarketPlace items are served in a different way. Free Stuff is hosted outside of Renderosity, usually on the website of the person who is offering the item for download. The 'Download' button redirects your browser to the location of the Free Stuff item. MarketPlace items on the other hand are served from our own servers and are always available for download (barring unforseen problems). So even if there are problems with Free Stuff, the MarketPlace should still function correctly. Kevin (kbennett) Moderator.

whew, thats a relief. There are so many great items here I don't want to miss out! Hopefully though there is a solution to the freebies problem as well. I am off to the market...Thanks so much for your help.
