Now that I have actually gathered all my add-on's to Poser in one directory I realize that I have over 2 g-bytes of files. Most are in Zip format. Will Poser 5 be able to import the content correctly or each file need to be added one at a time? I read the manual for Poser 5 and the section about new content is a bit sketchy.

P5 will be able to axcess external runtime directories so you won't have to move your present directory at all if you don't want to. as to how well P5 deals with sorting files to their proper folders I believe content paradise is supposed to do that but we'll find out soon enough.

You're right I am very new to this Poser program. No one told me how addictive it was until after I got hooked. I hope Poser 5 is as good as it looks.

I got about 6 gigs on my hard drive and other 14 or so on CD's! I got stuff that I forgot that I downloaded. One day I am going to get really ambitious and index and properly archive all my CD's. One day when I get really really amitious and have lot's of time.....

Heh heh hehhh... Lay's potato chips has nothing on Poser, that's for sure! And just think about all the =new= goodies coming out...like the shader node settings and the hair constructs and the polycaps over various body parts to add hair other places than on the head and... ...and that doesn't even include the stuff that will be done to retrofit existing content to use P5's new goodies.. :)
