Holy Crap. I mean HOLY CRAP!!! i just got my advanced copy of the next big thing from 3dmodelz.com! Man, I never thought they'd be able to invoke as much excitement in me as the original Worldz did. I was wrong! This is a Worldz theme to the Dark Ages, complete with all the settings of Jousting Tournaments with Castles in the distance and such. you know, anyone who likes Caleb's stuff is gonna flat out love Worldz of Chivalry because it has that same kind of Dark Ages feel to it. Wow! Wow! Wow! Got to get back and make you guys some renders!

Is it a retail add-on or a freebie add-on? I looked around Posercity but didn't see it. Looks great though!

Hey, It's a seperate purchase and not yet released. We will once again be offering it at Poser City before you can get it elsewhere. The release date looks like sept 8th at this point. It's basically a completely new Worldz prop with all new backgrounds, skies, and respective poses. This one also includes the theme props which load into position to let you assemble any number of Dark Age battle field type scenes. Stay tuned to Poser City for a released date.

So you don't need to have Worldz to use it?

Disciple3d posted Thu, 29 August 2002 at 3:24 PM

Correct. It is Worldz, just taken in a different direction!

Release date will be in the next few days, as I write this, we're busy finishing testing it, and then it will be going to our very good friends at Poser City for release. It contains new WorldZ geometry, and eight seperate themed props, the theme being Medieval. Also contained are 4 new horizons with trans maps, 2 new skies with trans maps and an updated tutorial.

So if I buy it, I'll be buying Worldz a second time? One reason I bought Worldz is I thought there would be add-ons like this one coming. I didn't know I'd have to buy it all over again.

Just posting so I will get an email when Jackson's question is answered.

Well, I think Andix can answer this one better than me, since he's part of the team that actually built this product. But, my understanding is that Worldz of Chivalry is different Geometry from the original Worldz and comes equiped with a head of props for that world bundled right with it. They smart prop right into place for a completed scene. So, in that since, it's not just Worldz over again. It's a new version of worldz bundled with themed props products that alone would sell for more than the asking price for Worldz of Chivalry which I beleive will go for just over $12.00 You can still build custom textures for the original Worldz. This is just a new product in the same line as the original Worldz. That's my impression.

Greybros got it. Basically, this is a big props pack that as a bonus contains a version of WorldZ. Twelve bucks for eight props? Thats 1.50 a prop, bargain by any standards, so it's not really a case of buying WorldZ all over again. This is a more specialised product than WorldZ itself, and as such, will not have as wide an appeal. And as Greybro points out, had we released this as aprops pack, the price would have been higher.

Right, testing is finished, and the outcome is that this will be an add-on pack, containing the new WorldZ geometry required, but not any of the original WorldZ geometry. It will also contain the 8 props previously mentioned, as well as all the new textures required for WorldZ of Chivalry. And for any WorldZ owners who havent got a copy yet, there is Urban WorldZ add-on pack available in the Free Stuff here at Renderosity, Poser City, and, of course, 3dmodelz.
