I like to mix and match armor, so I prefer multiple items. Single conformers force me to hide parts individually.

I say as for character pieces multiple is best ... maybe even seperate MP items and 1 full item of all. That way ppl can build them up and buy pieces as they can or if they can buy the whole thing in one package. Just a thought. and btw they look excellent caleb.

Yeah agree with Db , I love the characters. The perfect armor for the man that has everything ....

How about multiple with some sort of mat/more/superdoopersnazzeriffic file (if possible) that'll put everything on at once for those who don't want to put each one on, one by one? Looks great, by the way. I especially like the mask on the second suit. Nice touch there. :) Is her nose poking through or is it open? Looks different depending on the angle.

I think your plan of giving both full suits and partial is a good way to go. Now about the rest of the packaging. I see you have weapons also. How about making this three packages for sale? One armour package, one weapon package and one combination. This could let pepole save a little cash if they only want part of it and for those who want the whole thing, possibly a slightly discounted price on the entire deal. Looks real good, both the armour and the weapons, by the way.

well, Accually After Finishing the files for michael, i've found it may be best to do it like this: pack 1 - 5.00 - Mikes Armor pack 2 - 5.00 = Vicki Armor Pack 4 - 5.00 - p4 Possette Armor Pack 5 - 5.00 - p4 Dork Armor pack 6 - 5.00 - weapons pack 7 - 15.00 - Packs 1,2,6 Pack 8 - 10.00 - Packs 4,5 Reason being to help keep the download size smaller for those 56k People, and That way everyones still paying the same for what they get. I also modified the suit and added a extra joint for the Elbow so that the elbow piece could be better positioned, figured this would be best for that so the arms could bend a little better :) The Armor Change Dials work great and make it easy to add little addons for it in the future :) --------------------------------------------------------- New Question here: Now with the weapons: 1) i can make them dial in items (i.e. turn dial to 1 and the sword apears positioned for the had) which would require 1 obj for each character because of positioning. 2) I can make them Conformers, which would also require 1 obj for each character because of the positioning. 3) I can make them all props, which would you rather have? If i do the first or second one, I can do both of those two options using the same obj.

all smartprops :)
bloodsong posted Fri, 30 August 2002 at 2:30 PM
heyas; smart props, parented to the right hand, AND with the origins in the right spot (ie: in the grip, or in the part that the hand holds). ;)
caleb68 posted Fri, 30 August 2002 at 4:19 PM
ok, this is gonna sound stupid (cause im getting pretty damn good at conformers) how do ya make a smart prop? lol... told ya it sounded stupid Does a smart prop only work for a single model type (dork, or possette, or mike or vick) or does one smart prop attach to all the models properly?
jeweldragon posted Fri, 30 August 2002 at 9:51 PM
they attach properly usually :) and go where they are supposed to

Im building some mat files for it now too, so that textures can be easily applied, so far All i've got are two different styles, regular chrome finish and black steel finish :) the nice thing about the mat files is they will work with both the vicki and mike versions of the suits because all the parts texture areas are named the same. Also made a mat file to apply the body chainlink that works on both micheal and victoria as well :D if you'd like to see the chrome looks that i've got made sofar, i've attached the link. Everyones being really helpful with this on giving me suggestions on how to achieve differnt things :)caleb68 posted Sat, 31 August 2002 at 5:03 PM
Good News :D I'll be able to bundle the items like the following: 1) Armor Suits for Characters 2) Weapons and Props :D which means i can lower the price even more :D
bloodsong posted Sat, 31 August 2002 at 5:33 PM
heyas; you put the parent on the body part, set the prop's limb to the body part, then save the prop to the library. and then poser goes, 'hey, mac, this prop has a parent, ya wanna save that info?' and you go, 'hey, yeah!' you just can't do that on multiple props at one time. and no, they only work for the figure you positioned them on. they will load, and they will parent, to any figure.... but the positioning of the prop, you see, is based on which figure you used. p4man's hand is up here, p4 woman's is down there, michaels is up and over here, victoria's is down over there....
