I will gladly give $5,000.00 and 2 out of my 3 testicles for a copy of that wonderful software! I am overwhlemed by the collision detection apparent on the left wrist and hand. This is great! I am already working on a clothing pack and morph set for the marketplace. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

System requirements? Copy protection? Can it wear Mike's cloths? Anatomically correct? Is there a "FIGURE_WOMAN" on the horizon? Linux version?

  1. Nice textures. Are they maps or procedurals?
  2. Does the head have the full complement of morphs for Mimic compatibility?
  3. You forgot to mark your image for nudity.

Where do we complain about the delay in producing FigureMan 2.0 ? It's already been 5 hours, and there's no news !!

I'm holding out for FigureWoman 1.0, with technology like this Poser5 will be yesterday's news by morning!!

Even though you haven't announced a price yet I'm MAD AS HL at the thought that you're probably going to charge too much. And I'm really, really MAD AS HL that those of us who live in Borneo are probably going to have to pay double. What's up with that, huh? -jjsemp

Surfing to free-f-man.xxx where for free you can download crack version of the FigureMan. Don't spending your money. All the softwares should be free. Also, we have crack of the beta of FigureWoman plus many porn pictures of FigureMan and FigureWoman doing acts not allowed in U.S. Click on button to vote for us and then you are taken to page for download.

What about the FigureMan ProPack, will it have plug-in compatability with Lightwave, C4D, MAYA, Etch-a-sketch? I can hardly wait although, I'm a little suspicious of the meshes here, looks like it may be the work of a "MESH THIEF"

I'm sorry, but we're going to have to move this to the Showcase Forum. It's a blatant advertisement for a commercial product.

Kelderek posted Sat, 31 August 2002 at 2:10 PM

Just saw over at Amazon that Shamms Mortier is planning on releasing a new title, "The FIGURE_MAN 1.0 Handbook", next week. Will the upcoming release of FIGURE_WOMAN include a temple prop and a sword prop in the library?

VirtualSite posted Sat, 31 August 2002 at 5:12 PM

EXCUSE ME, but this is a BLATANT RIP-OFF of MY upload in Freestuff, STICK_MAN 1.0. I've examined the texture maps, the collsion detection, even the Happy Face thoroughly, and I am INFURIATED that someone took MY HARD WORK that I just wanted to share with my community and turned it into a crass commercial package for a cheap turnaround of a few thousand bucks. Needless to say, you will be hearing from my solicitor.

Is it Mac or PC? i bet it's PC only, or Mac users will have to wait a long time! ha! typical!

Kelderek posted Sun, 01 September 2002 at 11:48 AM

No problem, David, I have just finished StickConverter 0.9, a utility that converts the Figure_Man 1.0 to Mac format. It will be available in Free Stuff tomorrow. It will even take care of the advanced node based procedural texture you see on the promotional render. The utility weighs in at 274.3 Mb and requires a spec that Apple yet has to release, but that is just a matter of time. Patience...

sigh And here I spent all weekend telling people we were serious artists. sheesh

mon1alpha posted Tue, 03 September 2002 at 7:02 AM

I think that people are allowing the overall quality of this figure to blind them to some of its flaws. The face is far from perfect and I don't think much of the bump mapping Mon ):-(

namja1955 posted Tue, 03 September 2002 at 4:38 PM

mon1alpha: All are valid points. Upon closer review I noticed that the eyes seem abnormally large in comparision to the face, the shoulders are way too broad, and the elbow and knee joints need a lot of work!!
