Anybody get the new dragon to render?? I thought I had a pretty kick butt 'puter till now. Dual 533 with 1 Gig of ram should render any single figure, at least that's what I thought!! I have up to 256megs allocated to poser, any more and it quits, any suggestions??

Reduce the size of the texture, bump, and transparency maps? I only have 128MB on my Win98 PC, and I could render her, since I was using low-resolution maps.

WinXP here 1Gig of Ram, full dragon with full res textures & poser didn't even bat an eyelid at rendering it, I have 64MB on my '98 pc but it would never be able to handle the dragon, it used to complain with vicky1. Rob

Barry I have a G4 450 using 9.2.2. I have 1 gig allocated to poser and the dragon rendered fine. I did this as a test right out of the gates. I istalled it, posed it, used the all green mat pose and let her rip. Try increasing the allocated ram. Keep trying it will be worth the wait. This is a great figure.

G4 400 using 9.2.2 , 1.5 gig Ram. Couldn't render the Dragon and Hiresmaps with 500MB allocated to poser, upped the allocation to 700MB and everything worked fine. The dragon is a beauty but extremely RAM hungry with the maps at hires, Renders pretty quickly though. Give poser all the Ram you can allocate :-) Plopped a render in the poser gallery if your interested, search for RonGC to get to it.

RonGC Not to get off the main topic but I just checked out the image. Very Cool. I had a chance to check out your gallery. Great stuff. I guess I have to start spending more time around here.

That's my problem, if I give Poser any more rem than 256megs it craps out and won't start. Maby i should save my runtime file and reinstall....

Barry, How much vitrual memory do you have going?
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Barry, do you try to run Poser under classic? If you do so I'd suggest to reboot under OS 9.2 and work from there. This worked for me just fine (G4 MP500 1.2GB RAM). Dragon works like a charm and renders quite fast (see my currently WIP image for result). Phil
