I was wrong in my previous post about the compatibility of XP and the GE Force XP driver. While the funky artifacts weren't showing up and primatives, plants, and terrain objects were showing up solid shaded, when I imported a Poser figure it only showed up in a fragmented wire frame form. So I had to perform surgery again and this time for XP, I had to remove the GE Forces nvoglnt.dll file to make the poser figure show up solid shaded. When I did this apparently Windows uses its own open gl driver when one removes the cards open gl dll. There is still a delay between moving the model and the scene redrawing, but it is still better. I think I see an ATI Video card in my future. This problem is aggravating.

I'm back to using Detonator driver 23.11. I tried their latest driver, but background draw wasn't working, and I didn't notice speed improvement.

23.11 works for me, no solid artifacts, no grey background, and of course, the background draw works, provided I close down background programs. - Charles

I'm using the 23.11 driver on two computers. One is Geforce2 and the other is Geforce3. The driver is not perfect, but I'm happy.

The only other driver I've had success with is the driver that shipped with Windows Me. This was before I upgraded to Windows XP. After the default XP video driver bombed, I got lucky and found the 23.11 version.

Full OpenGL settings in Vue with the Detonator 40.41 drivers for my GeForce Ti4600, and everything is running very smoothly. I've not suffured any problems since getting this new card (as mentioned in a previous post):o) Cheers
