New image. Poser 4, PSP 6 and Carrara were used to create this image. Based on a dream I had the other night. ;) Gotta love those dreams! Clint

Mind if I ask how you did the blending shaders on the guy?

Oh man no problem. I love to share techniques... It was done in PSP.. :) Its a heavy PSP image. I got the PSP manual out lastnight and started reading it...oh my god! I got a few ideas and decided to try them this morning. I rendered 2 images of the man. One with a rock shader and another with the skin. Brought them both into PSP layered on top of each other. Rock layer on top. I then used the eraser in PSP with my Wacom tablet and set the erase so it was pretty opaque.. I just started dabing away at the rock layer to reveal some skin.. Fun to play with. Many times you will see this done with wire frame as a layer...so you see the figure going from wire frame to skin or rock or what ever. Clint

In the beginning there was only god; and his pet man... :)

If you have photoshop you can also do this kind of stuff with a mask. Make a gradient mask. Then load it as a selection onto one of the layers. Then erase the selected area. Might be able to a gradient transparency in a similar way as well.

Clint - Very cool image. It brings up tons of possibilities for using all the toys in my computer; photoshop, RayDream, etc. I hadn't really been thinking of using both programs (although I use aftereffects to composit different elements in motion) for still work. Great inspiration. - Chip

I love the cat. God or not, it's cool. And how, by the way, did you do the galaxy? Is it a stock item from somewhere, particle effects of some sort? Just curious.... - Chip
