I just installed Carrara on my Mac running OS 9 and every time it try to launch it, it says it cant be launched because the file "colorpickerlib" cannot be found. I cant find this file anywhere even on the install CD. I have talked to other people running carrara and they do not have it on their Macs either. Any ideas?

colorpickerlib may be an old Mac OS extension I don't see it on my Mac OS 9.0, so I would guess it's 8.5 or 8.6, if it exists at all. there was no colorpickerlib in O.S. 8.0/1. If you upgrade from 8.x to 9.0, you sometimes have these issues. I didn't see that problem when I installed carrara. It assumes a "clean install", meaning you restart with all extensions off except quicktime and CD/DVD drive. You can try turning off the color picker extension, or seeing if it is the OS 9.0 color picker, which shouldn't need the colorpickerlib. colorpickerlib.html is an old Mac Runtime Java subset, but that is meant for those awful pages that are bogged down withjava animations and applets. If the Carrara installer is calling for it, check your MRJ folder to see if you have the old version of MRJ (2.1.3) of the new version (2.1.4). I don't think the new version uses colorpickerlib.html

Thanks much. It did turn out to be the old Color picker extension from OS 8.6 that I had disabled. Thanks again for the help. Azreal
