Hi I'm new to this, I have a copy of poser 4, but when I down load the frebi characters, were do I un-zip them to and how do i import them as figures into Poser. Sorry to be so dumb!

Most of the freebie's have read me files. Just follow the instructions. Before you know it, you'll see a pattern develop. Also, pay attention to file type designations, and you'll have a better grasp of their connections to one another and to Poser.

Unzip in the Runtime folder. Most will automatically sort themselves into the correct folder from there. An alternate method is to create a folder specifically for unzipping files. This will keep your Poser4's Runtime free of clutter from the few freebies that are not self-directing. Otherwise here's a quick key: .cm2 = Runtime/Libraries/Camera/ (any folder) .cr2 = Runtime/Libraries/Characters/ (any folder) .fc2 = Runtime/Libraries/Face/ (any folder) .hr2 = Runtime/Libraries/Hair/ (any folder) .hd2 = Runtime/Libraries/Hand/ (any folder) .lt2 = Runtime/Libraries/Light/ (any folder) .pz2 = Runtime/Libraries/Pose/ (any folder) .pp2 = Runtime/Libraries/Props/ (any folder) .pz3 = any file... these files are not directory specific .obj = Runtime/Geometries (If an object is a prop, the file is not specific. HOWEVER, if a character comes with an object, put the object in a folder specified by the .cr2 file, which may be opened using Window's Notepad) Hope this helps. There are many excellent tutorials out there as well. Do a little searching around this site, as well sites found in the links.
