There's an old joke here about going postal, but I'm not gonna use it! I tracked P5 and according to Airborne, it was delivered to my receptionist, J. Lewis, at 10:30 this morning. Great!! Except for the fact that I have no receptionist or know anyone named J. Lewis (except for Dino's sidekick). Airborne has acknowledged that it went to the wrong address in a city about 30 miles away! If it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't expecting it until Thursday anyway, I'd be pretty damned P.O'ed. They said they'll get back to me later this evening with an update. :-(

Well let's hope the people who got it don't know what it is and therefore don't say "What package? We haven't seen any package." when asked....LOLOLOL

Same thing happened to me as well. It was delivered to two different other locations before finally reaching me. Not happy with Airborne at all.. wasted my day on the phone with these people trying to get my package.

No tracking number for me either... Jack

Well, I got a better one. My Daughter just had a baby and ordered a breast pump and UPS delivered it to the wrong house. The pump company sent another one. Now who would want to keep a breast pump?

TURTLE-- maybe someone at RENDEROTICA kept it as a model for a prop. :)

Well, they just called back and it turns out the driver delivered it to a doctors office across town along with several other packages. They'll get it to me tomorrow.
Renaylor posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 7:16 PM
Mine wasn't even lost the carrier decided he wasn't going to stop at my gated apartment complex because he could not get in. Never mind this carrier and all the others know this stop as part of their route and we have a package room and never mind he did not have enough common sense to contact the dispatch and have them call me. Now I still won't have Poser 5 until tomorrow and I had to file a claim so I can get my money back for a delivery that should have happened. What nerved me was the fact that in the tracking system it said attempted delivery when he did not even set foot in here!

Sorry, but these days I am finding that the good old everyday postal system is working better than any of the other shipping services...The last three packages I have shipped via UPS have either been lost or delivered to the wrong address....I find it interesting that CL choose Airborne for shipment...What was the cost of an overnight delivery?
EricofSD posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 9:54 PM
I just checked my tracking number. It was picked up from CL on Friday and went out on Sunday. Oddly enough, the shipper's address is in full on the site. The receiver's address only shows the city, state, and zip code. No street address. I can just picture this guy walking around town tomorrow grabbing people off the street saying "Hey, did you order Poser 5?" Ok, I was able to buy a new HD over the weekend so I better get cracking with the install. Ugh.

Ok, so it's the offical recommendation that when we slowpokes order our copies to just get ground delivery via the good ole' US postal service?
Crescent posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 11:54 PM
According to Airborne, my package hit the ground at 7:30am today. It was in my hands at 10:23am. And it was raining like crazy! I have no issues with Airborne. Now why it went from California, to Ohio, to Arizona, I still don't understand! Even I have a better sense of direction that that!

In our area Airborne is great, they actually deliver to semi-rural addresses. Brown's idea of a deliver attempt is driving past the end of the block and honking. In our area Airborne delivers "Ground" shipments around 10AM, Brown around 4PM. If you miss delivery you can pickup the same afternoon from their office. Further Airborne has never gone on strike with 10 Grand worth of my parts in their hands, and refuse to even allow me to go get them at the local station where they were being held hostage. I'm gald they chose Airborne. Since I just got my tracking number a this afternoon, I assume they will deliver tomorrow, Airborne's "Ground" service makes Brown look like a snail race. My $.02

Well , I work for the Post Office and more than half of the stuff that is said about our service is just Crap, but I guess some people just have to find out the hard way. So sorry for all the delays with Airborne, and Ups, I wouldn't wish a delayed P5 shipment on anyone, and I wouldn't bad mouth another carrier either, over one bad delivery, after all that's how most of the Crap about us got started. PEACE and this is not a hostile reply, good night all !!
