After spend a good part of the day going over my checkbook and my bills, and several other drains on the greenstuff, I came to the chilling conclusion that it will be after the first of the new year before I can up grade to P5. At first I was seriously depressed till I started thinking back to the orginal poser. I know that there are a few of us who still remember the orginal P1. Damn, I thought it was hot stuff then. And the Poser 2! Anyway, what I am trying to say is that I am going to be contently plodding along with P4 till I can afford to get P5. Like an old classic car, P4 still has plenty of power for me... Of course I could get lucky and get P5 for Christmas, but then I haven't been all that good this year anyway...

There's a lot to P4 that most peple haven't even bothered to check out yet, Butch. Most people are only scratching the surface. Trust me, there's plenty there to keep you busy till P5.

That's kuhl, recently I've been finding some very good stuff in P4 and I'm thinking that even though I will get P5, when ever the postman or whoever brings it gets here, that I already have one hell of a program and am going to continue to use it. One of the things I like about P4 is that I have a fairly new unit but the less taxing the program the faster the machine works. I'm in no hurry to get into P5.

I'm still learning new things in P4 even though I've had the program since it was released. If P5 was never released, I'd still be content with P4 since there are so many things in it I still don't know. I have ordered P5 anyway though and if it turns out to be as buggy as everyone is saying I can go back to the "old classic." I started with P2 and thought it was exciting too because I'd never seen a program like that before. However, it was limited and the characters looked fake.

know what you mean. I was just now feeling halfway competent (sp?) at poser 4. When I first bought it I was overwhelmed!!! After a week or so of trying I just gave up. Of course I'm the hard headed type that won't read a manual. LOLOL Then after a few months I got back in there and for some reason it clicked. I went ahead and got Poser 5 (waiting on its way) I still have tons to learn though just with 4. I have got really addicted to it in a short time. Finally figured out the objaction mover and the morph manager. LOLOL Don't know what I would do without all the great tuts out there for Poser. Just want to take a minute and thank all you guys for all the hard work on the freebies and tuts!!!! Take a bow! You must have the patience of saints. LOLOl

I never got to the morphing stuff or bone making stuff in Poser 4 Pro. I was just getting into creating 3D clothing (such as backpacks, holsters, jetpacks, boots, knee and elbow pads, and some armored vests, etc) using Ray Dream Studio 5 and learning how to conform it to Poser figures. That's all I had time to learn with Poser 4 Pro before ordering Poser 5. And that is only 1% of what Poser 4 Pro can do. Since Poser 5 comes with all the Pro Pack stuff, I figured it was a "must buy" item for me. I installed a new drive just for Poser 5 and a few other upgrades I ordered last month. I give away Poser each time I order a new version I wouldn't say that too loudly. It's a violation of your agreement when you install the software. I don't like the fact that we cant give it away when the new version comes out, but apparently I'm a voice in the darkness when it comes to anyone addressing the issue for change.
