A couple tries at cloth Low Res http://www.mashoogana.com/Cloth.AVI http://www.mashoogana.com/Cloth2.AVI Both about 1.7 megs This is by far the most ambitious upgrade I have ever seen! The Cloth and Hair alone is more than worth the price of admission!

Wait until you start digging through the Content CD. :) Someone else will ask this eventually, so I might as well be first: System specs, cloth pre-calculation time, and render time? I suspect that'll look a lot better with a higher-resolution cloth mesh.

Very cool!! Haven't hit that room yet (so much to explore, so little time) ... needs some collision collection in the sim, I imagine. -Tim

Oh damn it!! Damn the gif animation!! Damn it!! You are driving me insane!! ;-) I ordered my P5 copy a month ago. The David Stewart, academic distributor won't ship my copy until 27th. I am about 110 miles away from CL. I am really pissed off about it and I m trying to find someone in CL to ship my copy today. Waldo

To Gary Price... Thanks for posting the animations... I tried to watch both of them, but my quick time said it required some additional (plug-in??) which "was not available for download"..... What exactly would I need to be able to see your AVI? Thanks!

Nate, Assuming you're on a mac, you need the divx plug-in for QT at the attached link.Dizzie,
You could get the windows divx player. But as I just found out: if you play the thing in the Media Bar in IE 6.0, not in a separate window, it will play. Cut and paste the URL and hit return. If you're set up to play .avi's in the media bar, it will. More likely it will ask you a basically incomprehensible question about playing in a separate window. If you can figure out which answer gets it to play in the media bar, well, then you win the game. You have a 50% shot. Refer to the IE help file for additional frustr... clarification concerning the Media Bar.

Dizzie,Just get the player. Last on the page of link, I think, is what you need. (I'd avoid the one that gives you the Pro version with advertising. It doesn't uninstall well.)
I think I can play in the IE Media Bar because I have a DivX player installed, which also installed a plug-in for IE. Probably the Windows Media Player just can't use it for whatever reason. Otherwise, it's all a major mystery.

It's the codec that you need. If you have the codec it'll play in most players.

Well I played them in both media player (9 beta) and DivX 5.0.2 and the DivX playback was faster and smoother, I also had to tweak media player, as first time out of the gate it was jerky and hopeless... later jb
