hi i have just checked, im still "processing" i ordered on the 7th, my est del date is also the 12th. lets hope they send them today. i'm also in the uk.
noggin posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 7:11 AM
Nope! Ordered on first UK day and still no news! I read in a different thread a date of 17th was expected but don't know the truth. The desperation is made all the worse by the increasing number of threads of folks 'over there's' first experiences. I reckon their should be an embargo until we've ALL got our copies (not really_its good to read of peoples excitement tho a little depressing to read the 'negatives' 'I wan' it all, I wan' it now!'

A "No" here too. Actually I like the fact that we will know about the pitfalls and problems before we get it. Hopefully we will see some solutions too B).
GARYNH1 posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 7:36 AM
Nope.... no sign of it here in Ireland yet either. still "Processing..." But when I check the order I see : "Estimated Delivery Date Wednesday , August 28, 2002 " So a bit behind..
Kelderek posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 7:37 AM
womble, the estimated delivery date is obviously set by default in the CL ordering system and has nothing to do with the actual Poser 5 release date. I ordered Aug 25th(from Sweden) and got as delivery date Aug 29th in the confirmation e-mail... The CL website says that international pre-orders begin to ship on Sept 15th. That appears to be more believable (even though the 15th is a Sunday!)
c1rcle posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 7:43 AM
I ordered same day as noggin, so no delivery here as well :(

Nothing until now... delivery date Aug 29th...

It gives plenty of time to work out what we are going to write on our sickness certificates for the few days after the box arrives. Any ideas??? " Runtime Diarrhoea" " Acute adjustment reaction _ morph target" " Insomnia " " Dynamic Cloth-ears"
idova posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 8:13 AM
I contacted the Ireland office on monday and they replied with an email that said and i quote "It will probably be another week or so before we ship orders to our European customers." This was in responce to my question why my 'estimated' delivery date said 9/9 so we may see it mid week next week

"Runtime Diarrhoea", "Dynamic Cloth-ears" Good 0ne :) That's cheered me up. I usually get a case of Magnet migraine and Texture Twinges

well - folks - don't be too sad - because as soon as I'll be able to store the new poses I've done so far for the new Poser-5-people - Judy and Ron - specially in Poser 5 I'll bring them up on my site (around 50 so far - especially combined ones). Maybe this makes it a little bit easier to wait :o)
c1rcle posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 8:44 AM
Schlabber I wanted to ask you, did you make the poses included in poser5? if you did then we know they will be top quality :)
noggin posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 8:48 AM
That's great Schlabber_ it'll just make it more difficult though_ that'll be two things to wait for!! But the thought was there and it'll give us a chance to 'catch up' So good on yer!
ziggy3d posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 8:49 AM
If you have pre-ordered it and you live in the UK the earliest you will get it is the 17th as they state they will not start to ship european orders out before the 15th, the 15th being a sunday means monday delvieyr sent out tuesday delivery should be with you. Sucks but thats the way it is. Places like upgrades.co.uk have it scheduled even later at 21st for stock in

I love it C1rcle.. particularly "hierarchical joint overstretch syndrome" which has gotta be some kind of RSI (repetative strain injury) thing. Wait for the first law suit against CL.. for not warning us about this (or perhaps its in the EULA?!)
c1rcle posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 10:07 AM
lol I had to check the manual for that one, it's not called RSI anymore, my GP told me it's now called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, CTS for short, got it in my right wrist/hand. 10 yrs with the same company who's idea of health & safety was setting off the fire bell on a monday morning at 10am does that to you.
Schlabber posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 10:27 AM
C1rcle: Yes, I did this and that pose for P5 but Chris (DeRochie) did the most of them :o) noggin: Well, before I leave approx. at the end of the year I'll update my site again and add a lot special P5-poses ...

I have a bet on with a friend in Germany, as to which of us will be last to receive our copies. Neither of us has won yet.

Ah but if I get to give Thomas a texture I've done, and he gets to give me a plant he made, what would we give someone like you? What can you give one of the masters of poser?

chohole posted Sat, 14 September 2002 at 1:09 AM
Thomas says you are on, he is already working on a new plant. Whoever gets P5 first gets to pay the others out. Can't work on a clothing texture yet, cos it would be what you wanted one for, and I guess you both like different things.
