Hi, I did a stupid thing in Poser 5. I copied all of the Runtime from Poser 4 onto the Runtime of Poser 5. And it seems to work smoothly but when I first boot up, it is complaining unable Unable to Intilize Pyton Correctly and I can not run any of the scripts. Does anyone have an idea to get this working again easily. Thanks, Super

you're not going to like this but you might have to reinstall to get python back, poser4 used version 1.5.2, poser5 has version 2.2.1, unless....... go to www.python.org, download the latest version & install it, then copy everything into the python folder in poser5 runtime, that might fix it without having to reinstall poser. just don't blame me if it doesn't work & you have to reinstall poser anyway. everything except the bin folder, you'll see it if you install python.

try this: install poser 5 again on top of the current install that has your combined runtime folder in it. That way it'll replace any files with the same names with the newer version. The way you did it put the older version on top of the newer. You should do this anyway in case there's fixed geoms for anything that came with p4 (remember the rattlesnake was updated in a patch, etc). just back up that runtime folder to a separate location first, in case the installer blows it away or something horrible like that! :)

i posted a note last night which should help you to get your p4 runtime folder recognized in p5 without having to copy it into your p5 folder.
