Subject: tree challange

here's a challange for someone. ive been fiddling around with it myslef for a while now but i cant seem to get it right. maybe cuz its not possible i dont know but is there someone out there that can make a BONSAI tree in bryce a ONLY using the tree editor? if so please show me how. thanks :)

I don't see how you can make a bonsai in just the tree editor. There just isn't enough flexibility to make a trunk like that. This is a bonsai that I made completely in Bryce. The trunk is a sym. lattice turned up and the branches are many trees with the trunks set to zero, placed at the appropriate positions and angles. It really isn't that hard. Hope this helps. I just can't get the hang of making tree trunks in a symmetrical lattice (and believe me, I've tried many times!). Any chance of showing us what the lattice looks like, just so I know where to start? Great result you've ended up with there! Huge thanks if you can manage it! Jo

Here it is. Generally, I paint at higher elevations and then use the lowering tool reduce the height. There are some other examples of tree in my artist gallery in the earlier images. Patrick Tuten
