i want to add lightning i know theres a graphics program that has a effect that does this don't remember the name any help please.

Maya paint effects screensaver creates nice lightning. You can set the background color to black and add the lightning in a screen-layer in photoshop. you only need to use the printscreen key to get the lightning from the screensaver to photoshop. It's probably not the program you meant, but it just might do the job.

Hello Deadman67. The program you are looking for is called KPT Effects ( Kay Power Tools ). Good luck.

Do a search for Xenofex. I believe version 1.1 is now a free download since version 4000 was released. It makes very nice lightning.

I agree with xenofex. Also, go to www.brycetech.com and you can dl some lightening bolt mesh and texture it as you like.

best one for price anyway is ULEAD GIF-X plugin for Photoshop, paint shop pro etc www.ulead.com Thats what I use to make my lightining effects mostly. Lightning and glow effect in this image are from Ulead GIF-X. One problem it has is that by default it sets BACKGROUND LIGHT to 50% so dulls your image, just make sure you move slider up to 100% light in the ULEAD GIFX plugin before you apply it. Hope that helps :) ![lovers.jpg](http://www.silverblades-suitcase.com/artofadreamer/3d/lovers.jpg)"I'd rather be a

We work with Photoshop and Kai works fine as a plugin.

I use KPT3 and KPT6, and I'm curious where you would make lightning in either of those? Did I miss it? Was it a KPT5 thing?
hyperborea posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 1:50 AM
Hi Shadowdragonlord. The program we use is called KPT EFFECTS. It has a great lightning filter among others.
