Hey friends, I was trying to de-select some of the vertices, and for some reason, it was really hard! I was using the texture shaded mode. In Lightwave, if you use this mode, you cannot select vertices that are behind object faces. But if you go to wireframe mode, you can. I thought surely Poser 5 doesn't support this type of method, but LO AND BEHOLD IT WORKS!!! And when you use other preview methods, it also helps you acheive different goals, i.e. seeing the vertices better, selecting only front vertices, etc. This tip might be a no-brainer to some, but hey, it might help someone out. God bless, Ben

Here is the wireframe mode, that allows selecting/de-selecting vertices that are on backfaces . . .

Cool. Yeah it can drive you crazy. The grouping tool is not really designed for selecting complex groups of polygons or hi-res objects. If you are ever at a point where you are ready to scream you should consider using UVmapper. It can save your sanity.

Yep, I almost lost there there Anton! But I'm SO GLAd the preview mode affects the grouper, or I would have hated the tool's lack of user friendliness, but it's all good!

heyas; the grouper was always supposed to do that, but it was... flaky. in p5, the grouper is MUCH more well-behaved.
